Course description: 

Census statistics show that “the Lehigh Valley has experienced a steady
and significant increase in its Latino population that has nearly tripled in the decades between 1980 and 2000, representing a regional growth of over 251%” (Lehigh 63%, Northampton 35%, Carbon 2%).1 This same growth
continues today and shows no signs of slowing down.

this Quality Interactions CME provides
physicians with the necessary tools and skills to avoid cultural
generalizations. The CME will give you the tools you need to help
improve your ability to understand, communicate with and care for
patients from diverse backgrounds. The overall goal of the CME is to
promote effective communication, cultural competence and
patient-centered care.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - To provide access to networking opportunities, capability enhancing training and business enhancing resources to our members while assisting our Corporate Sponsors in reaching the Hispanic business community.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - To promote entrepreneurship and self sustainability within the Hispanic community. To increase the levels of understanding between our Lehigh Valley Hispanic and non-Hispanic business communities through the arts and through cultural introductions and exchanges.
